Diamond Service was commenced in 2001 by St George Cabs in Sydney. Due to rapid expansion, Diamond Service taxis now make up more than 20% of the St. George Cabs Fleet.

Diamond Service was established as St George Cabs determined there was a need for such a prestige service particularly from corporate clients.

The Diamond Service concept is now being expanded to enable Diamond Service clients to book a Diamond Service taxi when they are travelling intrastate or interstate.
